Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger-LeCoultre, founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in Le Brassus, Switzerland, is one of the most prestigious names in Swiss watchmaking. The brand quickly gained a reputation for precision and innovation, with LeCoultre developing a groundbreaking device for measuring watchmaking accuracy in 1844, a major milestone in horological history.

In 1903, Jaeger-LeCoultre partnered with French watchmaker Edmond Jaeger, creating the Jaeger-LeCoultre name. This collaboration introduced the brand to a wider global audience, and they became known for producing some of the most complicated and finely crafted timepieces of the era.

Throughout the 20th century, Jaeger-LeCoultre developed numerous iconic models, including the “Reverso,” introduced in 1931. The Reverso featured a distinctive swiveling case, originally designed for polo players to protect the watch face during matches, and has since become one of the brand’s most famous and enduring designs.

Jaeger-LeCoultre is renowned for its technical achievements, creating hundreds of in-house calibers and pioneering complex complications like the perpetual calendar, tourbillon, and minute repeater. The brand’s commitment to innovation and fine craftsmanship continues today, with its timepieces celebrated for their elegance, precision, and technical sophistication.

As part of the Richemont Group, Jaeger-LeCoultre remains one of the most respected names in luxury watchmaking, blending traditional Swiss watchmaking with cutting-edge innovation.
